Lil Durk released a remix of Logic’s suicide prevention song “1-800-273-8255” on Thursday, making his version about the ever-present threat of death in his Chicago neighborhood.

The rapper dropped “1 (773) Vulture," as an ode to the imminent dangers in his own life. In his signature, slow Auto-Tuned croon, Durk details everything from self-inflicted narcotics addiction to his ongoing problematic “love for the streets,” keeping only the original "1-800" beat. The re-titling of the song is a reference to his Chicago area code.

While Lil Durk’s remix focuses on struggle, his take is only vaguely related to Logic’s original, which features Alessia Cara and Khalid and served as an unofficial calling card for the Suicide Prevention Hotline, with the song imitating a call to the hotline from a first-person perspective. Logic’s plug was as impactful as he intended: The day the song was released became the second-highest daily call volume ever for the hotline, with a handful of callers crediting the song.
